Praises:

50% Support!

Prayer Requests:

Safety on the road as we journey out West.

Halfway There!

I’m so excited to report that we are over 50% support now! When I started deputation, my thoughts were that it would take a total of about 2.5 years. Being at our current support level, seven months into this journey, is about eight months ahead of schedule! We are blessed to have churches partnering with us in PA, OH, ME, WV, NC, TN, CT, and FL – what an adventure deputation has been so far! I don’t know what the future holds, and it’s all in God’s hands on how He wants to provide, but if things keep up at this rate then I believe it’s a real possibility that we could be on the field early next year. However, if we had started out with all the money needed to go to PNG, we would still go on deputation to raise prayer support because that is what is needed to get things done once we are there. It is humbling and encouraging to see how excited God’s people are to be involved in missions, however they choose to support us.

More Adventures in Florida

Besides coming across an alligator, an armadillo, and a python in the great state of Florida, we have continued to meet wonderful people at so many churches. In Leesburg we met the good folks at Grace Bible Baptist and were able to attend the Wednesday and Sunday services with them. After that we had four missions conferences! It’s always great to see other missionaries on their own journey to the field such as the Deatons, other All Points Missionaries, to Switzerland. Brother Robbie Morison wasn’t able to preach in Tallahassee and Panama City because of a surgery he had, please pray for his recovery. In Lakeland, Pastor Skelton and the church staff educated us about the nuances and differences in the terms country boy, redneck, hick, hillbilly, city slicker, and yuppie. In Port Charlotte, Melissa and Charlotte had a fun time with the ladies going to the Fisherman’s Village in Punta Gorda. I could say so much about the people we meet, but the one thing that always stands out the most to me is seeing their faithfulness.

Go West, Middle-Aged Man

My oldest daughter is getting married in May, in Idaho! So that means in two weeks we are turning our motorhome West! We have meetings between now and the wedding in Oklahoma, Arizona, California, and lastly in Idaho itself. Please keep us in prayer as we continue to drive and drive and drive in our motorhome.

Shout Out for My Kids

I am proud of and thankful for the family God has given me and want to take a moment to praise my kids. They didn’t ask to leave the place they grew up in, move to the other side of the country, travel for hours (some with carsickness), and learn how to adapt to being with new people every week. They do it though, and we are glad the mindset that they have is that it is a privilege and to make the most of where they are in life and in what they are doing. I will also say that God’s people, in every church we have been at, have been kind to my kids – for that I am super grateful.

Thank you for your prayers and kindness, and for loving missions.
